West Ham United manager David Moyes may well end up regretting not signing talented forward Adam Hlozek this summer.

Hlozek joined Bayer Leverkusen from Sparta Prague earlier this week for €13 million plus add-ons (Fabrizio Romano).

Hammers boss Moyes actually had the chance to bring the talented 19-year-old attacker to the London Stadium according to 90min.

It was alleged that West Ham board member Daniel Kretinsky offered Moyes the chance to sign Hlozek from Sparta Prague but the Scot wasn’t convinced (ExWHUemployee via his personal Twitter account).

The Hammers are in desperate need of signing a top-class forward to help provide competition and cover for Michail Antonio.

In our view, Hlozek would have been the perfect summer signing. Moyes clearly thought that the Czech Republic International didn’t have the whole package and he may well end up regretting the fact that he didn’t take a punt on the youngster…

David Moyes has made huge Hlozek error

The Athletic have claimed that Hlozek has been a transfer target for West Ham for the past year or so.

And we truly believe that Moyes will end up regretting not bringing him to the London Stadium this summer.

The 19-year-old was recently described as a world-class striker by Goal.

The Czech Republic International bagged 12 goals and 15 assists in 44 games for Sparta last season (Transfermarkt).

Hlozek really is a very exciting young talent. He possesses exceptional technique, is a very good finisher and has the potential to go on and become a truly elite striker. One would have thought that his ability to play anywhere along the front-line would have appealed to Moyes. Obviously not though…

£11 million for Hlozek would have been truly sensational business for West Ham and with Kretinsky’s links to Sparta Prague, signing him would surely have been one of the most simple tasks in the history of transfers

We believe that David Moyes has made a big error by not signing Hlozek. Only time will tell as to whether that ends up being the case though.
