West Ham have launched a new move for Ligue 1 striker Mama Balde after the club’s doomed Terem Moffi bid.
The Hammers have been linked with several strikers in the January window as they desperately try to get more goals in the team.
West Ham have scored just 15 goals in 19 league games this season, the second worst record in the top flight.
If goals are not added to this West Ham team then they will find themselves relegated come May.

Last week after Sevilla forward Youssef En-Nesyri snubbed West Ham to stay with the struggling La Liga club.
But Foot Mercato reporter Santi Aouna, who has been across the Moffi situation from the start, says Moffi does not want to sign for West Ham and prefers a move to Nice.
Now Aouna’s fellow Foot Mercato reporter Sebastien Denis claims West Ham are lining up an alternative.
West Ham have launched a new move for Ligue 1 striker Mama Balde after the doomed Moffi bid.

Denis claims West Ham are moving for the Troyes top scorer after being snubbed by Moffi.
Balde has eight goals and three assists in 17 matches this season and Denis claims the Guinea-Bissau striker has caught the eye of West Ham.
Reporter Aouna also shared the claims and doubled down on the claim that Moffi prefers Nice over the Hammers – stating that West Ham have moved for Balde for that very reason.
Interestingly, Balde, 27, can also play at right-back – one of West Ham’s big problem positions that David Moyes failed to address in the summer.
Balde is 5ft 9in and West Ham fans can check him out in the obligatory YouTube video below.
