West Ham January 2023 transfers: The Hammers apparently could miss out on Brazilian winger Tete to Nottingham Forest.

That’s according to a report from talkSPORT who claim that Tete is open to moving to the Premier League, with Nottingham Forest keen on acquiring his signature in the January transfer window.

That’s obviously a blow for West Ham with David Moyes allegedly keen to bring the silky Brazilian winger to the London Stadium.

The Scot desperately needs to sign a new winger with Maxwel Cornet having been ruled out for the foreseeable future.

The Ivorian hasn’t played for West Ham since October and Jarrod Bowen and Said Benrahma are crying out for more competition in the attacking wide areas.

Tete would be absolutely perfect for us, although it seems like we could face a real battle ahead…

West Ham January 2023 transfers: Tete blow

talkSPORT reckon that Nottingham Forest are at the front of the queue to sign Tete.

Now, earlier this week it was claimed that the East Midlands outfit were leading the race to sign another David Moyes transfer target – Danilo from Palmeiras.

Losing out to Forest on the two Brazilians would highlight just how poorly we are at getting transfers done.

Tete should be a priority signing for West Ham this month.

The 22-year-old allegedly could be available for just £25 million – an absolute bargain.

He has bagged eight goals and eight assists in 28 games for Lyon since joining them in March. He racked up 31 goals and 15 assists in 108 games for Shakhtar (Transfermarkt).

Tete possesses skill and pace in abundance and his playing style is quintessentially Brazilian.

He’s only 22, so is far from the finished article. The South American has so much talent and potential though. He has been described as a ‘stunning player’ by Ligue 1’s official website.

Tete is currently on loan with Lyon from Shakhtar Donetsk.

It was recently suggested that any club that wishes to sign the Brazilian in January would have to reach an arrangement to buy out the player’s current loan deal with Lyon.

However, with Nottingham Forest allegedly ready to make their move for Tete, it seems as though the Hammers could face disappointment.

West Ham need to make some January 2023 transfers asap. Losing out on the Brazilian winger would just be unacceptable in my opinion.
