West Ham United have reportedly reached an agreement with £25 million star ahead of a potential January transfer.

The January transfer window has already been a successful one for West Ham as far as I’m concerned, with the loan signing of Kalvin Phillips.

However, the cherry on the cake for the Hammers will be David Moyes bringing a top-class forward to the London Stadium before the winter window slams shut.

Al-Ittihad ace Jota is someone who is being heavily linked with a move to the London Stadium this month, and it was recently claimed that the 24-year-old is open to the idea of joining West Ham.

Now it seems like a deal is even more advanced, with the Hammers closing in on a move for the former Celtic star…

West Ham reach agreement with player ahead of January transfer

According to a report from Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, the Hammers have reached an agreement with Jota himself about a move to the London Stadium before deadline day.

However, is is clearly stated that West Ham and Al-Ittihad are yet to agree terms on a deal to take him to East London.

I would absolutely love Jota at the London Stadium, let’s hope that Moyes manages to get this one done.

The Al-Ittihad star is a born entertainer, and he would add genuine quality to Moyes’s attacking options.

If he could rediscover the form he showed with Celtic, we’ll have a serious player on our hands.

The Benfica youth product bagged an impressive 28 goals and 26 assists in 83 games for Celtic (Transfermarkt).

He is a bag of tricks, possesses incredible technical ability and would provide us with proper output in front of goal.

The 24-year-old has experienced an incredibly tough time out in Saudi Arabia, since joining Al-Ittihad from Celtic for around £25 million back in July (Sky Sports). I think that a move back to Britain could be the making of him though.

And if West Ham manage to secure a deal for Jota in the January transfer window, I feel like we’d be in a really strong position to kick on from this point onwards.
