West Ham United are apparently trying to sign Jean-Clair Todibo this summer.

According to Nice-Matin, West Ham have made an approach to sign Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice in the summer transfer window.

Craig Dawson was allowed to leave in January, whilst Angelo Ogbonna is now 35. Meanwhile, Kurt Zouma continually seems to suffer with injuries.

And it seems as though Tobido is someone who Moyes is eyeing up to bring into the club…

West Ham have made approach for Nice star Jean-Clair Todibo

The £26 million-rated centre-back has been approached by the Hammers according to Nice-Matin.

However, the 23-year-old would apparently prefer to remain with Nice.

The 23-year-old left Barcelona to join Nice for around €8.5 million (£7.3 million) back in the summer of 2021 (ESPN).

Sport claim that he will cost any prospective buyers around £26 million now though.

That kind of fee would be well worth it for West Ham, if we can somehow convince Jean-Clair Tobido to join us.

The Frenchman is very strong in the air, really quick along the ground and tenacious in the tackle.

In 34 Ligue 1 outings for Nice last season, Tobido averaged 2.2 tackles, 1.2 interceptions and 3.1 clearances per game (Who Scored).

I think that he’d be a great signing for West Ham this summer. However, it’s clear that it won’t be easy for Moyes to bring him to the London Stadium.
