West Ham seem likely to miss out on Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka on transfer deadline day.

That’s because Manchester United transfer target Sergino Dest is all set to join AC Milan, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Erik ten Hag was keen to bring Dest to Old Trafford and would have then sent Aaron Wan-Bissaka to either West Ham or Crystal Palace according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

That’s because the Man United boss didn’t want more than two right-backs amongst his squad at Old Trafford.

With Dest now AC Milan bound though, Wan-Bissaka will surely stay at Manchester United…

West Ham to miss out on Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Manchester United won’t be signing Sergino Dest this summer according to Fabrizio Romano.

The United States international is all set to join AC Milan, so unless Man United make a move to sign another right-back, Wan-Bissaka won’t be moving to the London Stadium on deadline day.

That’s a real shame. We think that the 24-year-old would be a sensational addition to David Moyes’ ranks.

He joined Manchester United three years ago from Crystal Palace for around £50 million (Independent).

Wan-Bissaka possesses blistering pace. And that recovery speed would have enabled us to push further up the pitch, which ties in perfectly with Moyes saying that he wants his team to become more of a possession based side.

If you are to do that, you need real recovery pace at the back and AWB possesses that in abundance.

The Manchester United right-back is an exceptional defender and is one of the very best tacklers around.

Here’s to hoping that Manchester United make a move to sign another right-back on deadline day.

However, if they don’t, Aaron Wan-Bissaka surely won’t be joining West Ham today.
