West Ham United are now favourites to sign a winger from another English club in the January transfer window.
David Moyes seems to be keen to bring a versatile winger to West Ham in the January transfer window, with all of his first-choice forwards currently unavailable for selection.
Wilfried Gnonto is said to be someone who is firmly on the radar of the Hammers this month, and we are thought to be in a strong position to sign him.
And now Moyes has a really good chance to bring the young Italian winger to the London Stadium this winter.
That’s because Football Insider are claiming that Leeds are very close to signing Manuel Benson, 26, from Burnley.
If Leeds do sign the Burnley ace, Gnonto will be allowed to leave Elland Road, with West Ham waiting in the wings…

West Ham favourites to sign absolutely rapid winger in January
The Hammers are out in front in the race to sign the Italy international this winter, and I think he could be a really good addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium.
According to the Mirror, Leeds could demand around £30 million for the fleet-footed left winger. That would represent good value for West Ham in my book.
His stats for Leeds aren’t actually very impressive at all, with five goals and five assists to his name in 51 games so far (Transfermarkt).
Don’t let those numbers fool you though – he’s a real talent. He wouldn’t have 13 caps for Italy already if he wasn’t.
It’s worth remembering that he’s only 20 as well, and has plenty of years left ahead of him to improve and mature as a player.
Wilfried Gnonto would offer West Ham a completely different dimension to our attacking play what with his blistering speed.
The Leeds forward is a direct runner and combined with Bowen, Paqueta and Kudus, he would make us an incredibly exciting attacking outfit.
And with Leeds closing in on a deal for Manuel Benson from Burnley, it seems as though West Ham are really well placed to sign the exciting young Leeds winger in the January window.
