The Clarets centre-back is on the Hammers’ radar according to a report from The Sun. It is alleged that the East London outfit are prepared to pay around £7 million for the 29-year-old in January.

Moyes was desperate to sign the Burnley defender in the summer of 2020 (The Independent, Claret and Hugh and 90min).

West Ham didn’t meet the Clarets’ asking price for Tarkowski, however, and the centre-back didn’t want to move to the London Stadium either (ExWHUemployee).

The Evening Standard claims that Tarkowski has now performed a U-turn, however, and is keen to join West Ham.

Funny that!

Tarkowski actually wouldn’t be a bad signing at all.

Having lost Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma to long-term injuries, the addition of a top-class, Premier League proven centre-back in January will be vital.

The problem is the fact that Burnley will be demanding at least £15 million for the 29-year-old (Football Insider).

That is just too much money for a player who will be out of contract at Turf Moor in the summer.
