Liverpool are still closely tracking West Ham ace Jarrod Bowen ahead of the January transfer window according to a report from the Liverpool Echo.
It is unlikely that Liverpool will try to sign the 24-year-old Hammers ace next month, however, with a summer bid more plausible.
Bowen has been sensational for West Ham since moving to the London Stadium from Hull City for around £20 million in January 2020 (BBC).
The left-footed right winger has real talent and potential to go on and become one of the Premier League’s best players.
Bowen has everything that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp loves in a player – none more so than his truly unmatched work-rate.
The 24-year-old West Ham man is a tireless worker and is a constant menace for opposing defenders. It is little wonder why Reds manager Klopp is so keen on the Hammers ace.
Liverpool tracking West Ham ace Bowen ahead of January window
The Liverpool Echo reckon that Klopp is keen to bring the 24-year-old Hammer to Anfield.
It is claimed that Liverpool scouts are keeping a very close eye on Bowen ahead of the January transfer window although a summer swoop for the West Ham man is more likely.
Back in November, Football.London claimed that the Hammers value the former Hull City ace at around £40 million.
Considering the job that he does for the team though, surely Moyes would demand a lot more if Liverpool come knocking in the summer.
Bowen is absolutely pivotal to the way in which West Ham operate and he would not be easy to replace. Certainly not with £40 million.
Jarrod seems to be more than happy in East London at the moment.
Let’s hope that the Hammers board back Moyes in the next few transfer windows so that we can match Bowen’s ambitions on the pitch.
The 24-year-old is a top-class Premier League player. Liverpool wanting him is all well and good. Prising him away from the London Stadium will be the hard part, however.
