And some Hammers fans are happy after hearing that particular bit of news.

David Moyes is desperate to bring a new centre-forward to the London Stadium this summer.

Bringing in some quality competition and cover for Michail Antonio will be vital if West Ham are to enjoy a successful campaign.

One option for the Hammers was believed to be Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard (Eurosport).

It seems as though the Frenchman won’t be rocking up at the London Stadium anytime soon, however.

West Ham reject chance to sign Odsonne Edouard

That’s according to The Express.

David Moyes is determined to strengthen his attacking ranks but will only sign a striker who he believes is of equal quality to Antonio.

It is actually refreshing that Moyes is being so particular when bringing new players to the London Stadium.

Previous managers have signed so much dross, much of which we are still stuck with to this very day.

That probably won’t happen again under Moyes. Edouard is the latest name to have allegedly been turned down by the Scot.

The Frenchman was available for around £15 million according to Daily Mail.
