West Ham face a huge battle with Leeds and Newcastle for 'amazing' Bamba Dieng

Leeds United and Newcastle United allegedly could be set to challenge West Ham United for the signing of Bamba Dieng this summer.

That’s according to a report from 90min who claim that Leeds and Newcastle are both keen to beat the Hammers to the 22-year-old Marseille ace’s signature in the summer transfer window.

West Ham boss David Moyes is allegedly keen to bring Dieng to the London Stadium this summer according to MediaFootMarseille.

Moyes has already got the signing of a top-class striker over the line this summer by bringing Gianluca Scamacca to the club from Sassuolo. It could be argued that the Scot needs to strengthen his attacking ranks even further still, however.

The Hammers will seemingly have to fight off competition from Leeds and Newcastle for the signing of Bamba Dieng though…

West Ham face competition from Leeds and Newcastle for Bamba Dieng

90min claim that there is a three-way fight for the 22-year-old forward with the Hammers, the Whites and the Magpies all battling it out for his signature this summer.

Dieng is a really exciting young talent and has so much potential.

He has been described as the new Didier Drogba by Get Football News France.

The Senegalese forward bagged seven goals and three assists in 25 Ligue 1 games for Marseille last season (Transfermarkt).

He has been described as ‘amazing’ by Be Soccer.

Dieng possesses blistering pace, has fantastic movement and is a nightmare for opposing defenders. He is a pretty good finisher as well.

The Marseille starlet is far from the finished article. There are a lot of improvements that he needs to make in his game. And some might say that there are no guarantees of him succeeding in the Premier League.

MediaFootMarseille reckon that he could be available for a bargain £10 million fee this summer.

We believe that that is a very fair price for West Ham, Leeds or Newcastle to pay for him.

Bamba Dieng can play anywhere along the frontline and would provide strong cover and competition for all of the West Ham attackers.

He certainly has the kind of pace that would make him very effective in the Hammers’ current setup

Whether the East London outfit manage to beat Leeds and Newcastle to his signature remains to be seen though.
