Vladimir Coufal could very well be finished as a regular starter at West Ham United, with David Moyes eyeing up a top-class new right-back.
David Moyes brought Vladimir Coufal to West Ham from Slavia Prague back in October 2020 for around £5 million (Sky Sports), and he obviously loves being at the London Stadium, after recently admitting that he wouldn’t think twice about signing a new contract.
However, the 31-year-old’s time with the Hammers could well be coming to an end. He’s still a decent right-back but Moyes is crying out for a young and fast option down the right hand side.
And according to a report from Football Transfers, that man could be Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with Moyes targeting a January transfer window swoop for the former Crystal Palace man.
The 25-year-old has been on the West Ham radar for quite some time, and we actually tried to sign him in January earlier this year.
A new right-back is undoubtedly needed at West Ham regardless of what happens with Coufal, after recent claims suggested that Ben Johnson will be sold following his ‘triple your salary’ wage demands.
And it seems like Wan-Bissaka could be the man for the job…

West Ham right-back Vladimir Coufal could be finished
The Czech Republic international won’t get anywhere near the Hammers starting XI, if Moyes brings Wan-Bissaka to the London Stadium in January.
The 25-year-old Man United defender is an elite right-back, with pace to burn, and his recovery tackling is arguably the very best in world football.
He’s not the best when going forward, but he can definitely still work on that and improve.
Wan-Bissaka’s pace and tackling prowess would enable West Ham to be more progressive, and play further up the pitch with a higher backline.
Aside from Nayef Aguerd, there isn’t any pace in our backline right now, so we’re almost forced to sit deep.
That will all change though, if the Manchester United star joins us in the January transfer window. He’d be a superb signing for us.
Unfortunately though, not everyone will be pleased. Vladimir Coufal’s time at West Ham will likely be all but done if Wan-Bissaka does indeed swap Manchester for East London.
