Contract rebel Ben Johnson wants West Ham to triple his wages to a staggering amount and will now be sold claims a board confidant.
Ben Johnson looked like he might be the answer to West Ham’s full-back issues when he first started working under David Moyes.
But he has struggled to establish himself in the side and was widely criticised by West Ham fans for his performances when he did get game time last term.
Viewed as nothing more than a utility player at best by most, supporters were shocked when it emerged Johnson has thus far refused to sign a new long-term deal with the Hammers.

Talks have been off the table ever since The Athletic revealed the academy graduate had snubbed a six-and-a-half-year contract at the club.
Some West Ham supporters could not believe the club were prepared to offer Johnson such a long-term contract given his failure to impress. And they were even more perplexed that he did not sign it.
Johnson has been linked with a move to the likes of Everton in January and again last summer.
In the summer Moyes said he is ‘desperate’ to keep Johnson at West Ham but admitted he is refusing to sign a new deal.
Now his demands have been revealed by Sean Whetstone, a source close to vice-chair Karren Brady and co-owner David Sullivan.

Outcast utility player criticised for his performances last season demanding £60k per week to stay at West Ham claims insider
According to Whetstone, Johnson – on £20k per week currently according to Spotrac – wants £60k per week to stay.
The demands are described as ‘extraordinary’ and Whetstone says he will now likely be sold in January – ‘if there are any takers’.
“Out of favour Hammer Ben Johnson’s contract demands have been revealed with his agents wanting a £60k a week for the player to sign a new deal at West Ham,” he said.
“Despite playing only one first team game this season at Lincoln City in the third round of the Carabao Cup, Johnson and his agents believe the club should agree to their extraordinary demands.
“Johnson played for the U21’s earlier this week to keep match fit and is likely to be sold in January if there are any takers.”
