West Ham United are pushing to try and beat Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of Giorgi Mamardashvili this summer.
According to a report from 90min, Tottenham recently held talks with Valencia about bringing Giorgi Mamardashvili to North London for £30 million, but it seems as though West Ham could push them all the way.

With Lukasz Fabianski now 38 and Alphonse Areola having failed to impress recently, signing a top-class goalkeeper this summer could be one of Moyes’s main priorities.
Mamardashvili would be an exceptional addition for West Ham, and beating Tottenham to his signature would make signing him that little bit sweeter…
West Ham could make statement to Tottenham by signing rising star Giorgi Mamardashvili
The 22-year-old Valencia stopper has absolutely everything needed to make it at the very highest level of the game, and £30 million for his signature would represent an absolute bargain as far as I’m concerned.
Described by Verge Magazine as ‘excellent’ and a ‘rising star’, Mamardashvili really is an elite goalkeeper in the making.
Standing at 6ft 6in, the Georgian cuts an incredibly imposing physique and he commands his penalty area with real authority. He is a really good shot-stopper, as you would expect someone of his size and stature to be.

Mamardashvili is really highly rated in Spain. He has conceded 66 goals in 58 games for Valencia and has kept 17 clean sheets in the process (Transfermarkt).
Not bad for a goalkeeper playing for a team currently sitting just outside the relegation zone in La Liga eh!
The Valencia ace would be a huge upgrade on Fabianski and Areola at the London Stadium in my opinion.
West Ham beating Tottenham to the signing of Mamardashvili would be a major coup for the club this summer. It would send a big statement to our fierce rivals as well. Let’s hope that Moyes manages to get a deal for the 22-year-old done and dusted as soon as the summer transfer window opens up.
