The Scot also signed talented young Brazilian centre-back Luizao on a free transfer.

And now the Hammers boss could be set to add to his Brazilian contingent by bringing Sao Paulo youngster Pablo Maia to the London Stadium according to a report from Bolavip Brasil.
The East London outfit have been tracking the 21-year-old for quite some time now. And now it seems as though West Ham could finally be ready to make a concrete move to sign him…
West Ham want to sign another Brazilian with ‘outstanding’ 21-year-old on David Moyes summer radar
Pablo Maia is firmly on the Hammers radar ahead of the summer window according to Bolavip Brasil.
However, West Ham could face competition from Premier League duo Fulham and Nottingham Forest for the Brazilian youngster’ signature.
He is a defensive midfielder by trade and excels at breaking up the opposition’s play through the middle of the park. He has been labelled a ‘mini Casemiro’ by Football Talent Scout.

Sao Paulo chief Muricy Ramalho offered an insight into what Maia is all about as a player, when speaking to Brazilian website Sampi earlier this year:
Pablo Maia plays as the (deep-lying) midfielder. He gives security to our defence. He has a good pass too. He’s not just about marking (opposition forwards). Nowadays, the midfielder has to play too, and he has a good pass. Of course, he does the simple things but he keeps the ball. He gives stability to Sao Paulo.
Sao Paulo allegedly want around £9.5 million for Pablo Maia. That seems like really good value to me.
And if David Moyes brings him to West Ham this summer, I’ll be more than happy.
