West Ham United can now seemingly sign a Premier League striker for an extremely reasonable price.
David Moyes has to bring a top-class striker to West Ham in the January transfer window, with a long-term replacement for Michail Antonio required.
The Hammers boss currently has his first choice attacking trio currently out and unavailable for selection as well, so the addition of a proven Premier League forward this month is an absolute must.
One striker we’ve been heavily linked with for some time now is Chelsea ace Armando Broja, and we were thought to be close to signing him last summer.
The 22-year-old forward is absolutely tailor made for us. And now the Sun are claiming that we could sign him on loan this month, with an obligation to buy him permanently for £35 million in the summer.
That’s a big boost for West Ham, as it was claimed just a few days ago that Chelsea were demanding £50 million for the 22-year-old this winter.
There was obviously no way that we’d pay anything like that for the Albania international in the January transfer window.
However, a cheeky little loan to buy move for Broja this month would make real sense for the Hammers…

West Ham can sign striker on loan with £35m summer obligation
I actually rate the Chelsea ace very highly indeed, and he’s perfectly suited to Moyes’s setup at the London Stadium.
The West Ham fans will know all about how good Broja is. When he was on loan with Southampton during the 2021/22 campaign he gave us all sort of problems.
In fact, the Hammers players were so impressed by Broja when he was on loan with the Saints that they asked Moyes to sign him.
Broja excels when holding up the ball, but he is also very well-versed in running the channels and creating space for his teammates in the process.
He is incredibly strong and works extremely hard off the ball. I genuinely think he’s perfect for the way that David Moyes sets up his team to play.
And if West Ham manage to sign the striker from Chelsea in January on loan with an obligation to sign him for £35 million in the summer, I think it will be a very good deal for us.
