Chelsea have reportedly just made truly extortionate demands to West Ham United for Armando Broja.
West Ham are after a striker in the January transfer window, and Chelsea hitman Armando Broja is someone who we have chased for quite some time now.
Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to bring a top-class centre-forward to the London Stadium and crucially – one who suits his system.
From that perspective, Broja would be absolutely perfect for West Ham, what with his willingness to run the channels, impressive ability when playing with his back to goal and his sheer strength.
The Albania international would be a fantastic addition for the Hammers this month, and he’d take us to a whole new level entirely. It goes without saying that he’d be a major upgrade on Michail Antonio.
In fact, the West Ham players were so impressed by Broja when he was on loan with Southampton in 2022 that they asked Moyes to sign him.
However, there appears to be a big problem on the horizon for West Ham…

Chelsea demand huge Armando Broja fee from West Ham
According to the Telegraph, Chelsea reached their £50 million valuation for the 22-year-old striker after considering the £72m that Manchester United paid for Rasmus Hoijlund.
I have to say, if Chelsea stand firm on that valuation of Broja, West Ham will definitely not be signing him this month.
Moyes doesn’t have lavish funds to play with in the January window. And actually, I don’t think we should be paying £50 million for Broja anyway.
He’s probably worth around £30-35 million, maybe £40 million tops. I actually rate the Chelsea ace very highly indeed, but he just hasn’t proven himself enough in the Premier League to justify a £50 million price-tag.
He has the potential to become an elite striker, but he’s not there quite yet.
One thing’s for sure, Broja definitely needs a move away from Chelsea if he is to fulfil his potential, and I would absolutely love to see him move to West Ham.
Hopefully the Blues lower their demands for the striker this month because if they don’t, there is absolutely no way that he’ll be moving to the London Stadium.
