Two journalists claim a West Ham move for electric striker Hugo Ekitike is ‘one to watch’ before transfer deadline day.

After the exciting capture of Mohammed Kudus, West Ham are now said to be focusing on signing a striker before the summer transfer window closes on Friday.

The Hammers have been linked with a host of forwards since the sale of Gianluca Scamacca to Atalanta.

West Ham striker Danny Ings is being linked with a move to Everton too.

David Moyes and Tim Steidten are said to be assessing several options for the striker role.

Talks have reportedly been held with PSG outcast Hugo Ekitike and Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri.

And overnight there have been claims Steidten is heading to Brazil to explore deals for forwards Yuri Alberto and Pedro – who is a close friend of Lucas Paqueta.

Despite reportedly being impressed by what Steidten had to say during talks, Ekitike has since been linked with moves to Eintracht Frankfurt, AC Milan and Brentford.

But two journalists claim a West Ham move for electric striker Ekitike is one to watch before transfer deadline day.

Mirror journalist James Nursey says Ekitike to West Ham is a deal to look out for before Friday’s 11pm deadline. Even if Milan are genuinely interested.

“A few potential deals to look out for before transfer window shuts: Lucas Ocampos to Fulham, Hugo Ekitiké to West Ham, even if AC Milan are trying him and Davison Sanchez from Tottenham to Nottingham Forest,” Nursey said.

‘Money time’

And Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna says discussions between PSG and West Ham are ongoing for the jet-heeled forward, who has been likened to Thierry Henry and Kylian Mbappe.

Aouna states that while Frankfurt also remain in talks for Ekitike, any deal is not linked to the Paris club’s attempts to sign Randal Kolo Muani from West Ham’s German foes.

“Discussions still ongoing between PSG and West Ham / Frankfurt for Hugo Ekitike. Money time,” Aouna said.

“PSG – Frankfurt negotiations for Randal Kolo Muani who is waiting for the two clubs to reach an agreement.

“Two indirectly linked files.”
