Tim Steidten will love what PSG director and manager have told West Ham striker target Hugo Ekitike after official talks over a deal.

It wasn’t too long ago that West Ham’s technical director Tim Steidten was being linked with a shock departure less than one month into the job.

Fast forward a month and frosty relations with manager David Moyes have thawed.

Proof of that has come in the fact two of West Ham’s three signings so far have been Steidten targets in the shape of Edson Alvarez and Konstantinos Mavropanos.

Steidten has been a busy man in the last couple of weeks, flying back to Amsterdam for further talks with Ajax over another target – Mohammed Kudus.

Tim Steidten will love what PSG’s director and manager have told West Ham striker target Hugo Ekitike after official talks over deal

And, as reported earlier today, the German was in Paris overnight for a high level meeting with PSG over striker Hugo Ekitike.

RMC Sport claimed yesterday that Ekitike was back on West Ham’s radar after a failed bid to sign him before he joined the Ligue 1 champions from Lorient.

They were right as Steidten headed across The Channel to discuss potentially bringing the jet-heeled striker to the London Stadium.

West Ham fans are too long in the tooth to get carried away until they see Ekitike in the claret and blue. And that’s understandable given how dismal the club’s transfer conversion rate been this summer transfer window.

It was reported that while in the meeting, Steidten presented Ekitike’s representatives with how West Ham planned to play with him in the side and they were impressed.

So Steidten will love what PSG’s director and manager have told West Ham striker target Ekitike after official talks over a deal.

RMC Sport now state that PSG boss Luis Enrique and the club’s director Luis Campos have reiterated to Ekitike that he is ‘surplus to requirements’ amid the interest from West Ham.

That’s despite the player being on the bench for PSG’s first two games of the season – draws with Lorient and Toulouse.

Now it looks like it will come down to whether the player wants to come to east London and the Premier League because West Ham’s talks with PSG were reportedly positive.
