Tottenham could save West Ham from making a huge £36 million Youssef En-Nesyri mistake this summer.

According to a report from Fichajes, Tottenham and West Ham both want to sign Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla in the summer transfer window.

The Hammers have been long time admirers of the 25-year-old striker, but Spurs are now ready to challenge us for his signature.

Sevilla are allegedly demanding around €40 million (£36 million) for En-Nesyri (Fichajes).

West Ham were recently said to be prioritising a move to sign the Morocco international this summer.

I strongly believe that signing En-Nesyri would be a big mistake from the Hammers. It seems as though we might be saved from doing just that though…

You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to assume that En-Nesyri would be more attracted to Spurs than the Hammers at this moment in time.

That’s just the way that it is.

Now, if Tottenham do win the race for the 25-year-old striker, I feel like they would have done us a massive favour.

The striker has scored just six goals in 23 La Liga games for Sevilla this season. He only scored five in 29 last term as well (Transfermarkt).

He was really bad during the two games that we had against Sevilla in the Europa League last season.

And he just doesn’t seem to have the attributes needed to succeed in the ferociously paced Premier League.

If Tottenham win the race for En-Nesyri, West Ham shouldn’t be too despondent. There are much better options out there for us in my opinion.
