Liverpool could finally end West Ham United’s dream of signing Benfica striker Darwin Nunez in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to a report from The Times who claim that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants to bring the prolific 22-year-old hitman to Anfield.

Liverpool and West Ham both need to sign a proper striker in the summer transfer window.
Hammer boss David Moyes is allegedly keen to bring Darwin Nunez to the London Stadium according to The Express and The Athletic.

And it’s little wonder as to why. The 11-capped Uruguay International is a truly exceptional talent and was recently described as such by The Analyst.
It seems as though West Ham could have our work cut-out though…
Liverpool eyeing brilliant striker transfer swoop
The Times reckon that the Reds are trying to shift Sadio Mane and have a plan to sign Benfica ace Darwin Nunez as his replacement.
The Reds’ apparent interest in the South American is a real shame for West Ham because he would be the absolutely perfect summer signing for us.
Nunez scored an incredible 26 goals in 28 league games for Benfica last season and bagged 34 in 41 appearances in total (Transfermarkt).

The 22-year-old’s playing style is quintessentially South American. He is a tenacious presser, plays with proper physicality and has real technical ability. He seems to be ideally suited to the Premier League what with its intense and robust nature.
He will undoubtedly go on to become one of the very best centre-forwards in world football.
The Athletic reckon that Nunez could be signed for around €60 million (£51 million) this summer.
Considering his talent and potential, that could end up proving to be exceptional value.
And if Liverpool do win the summer transfer race for Benfica striker Darwin Nunez, it will very much be our loss and their gain.
