West Ham United appear to be on the cusp of signing Carlos Soler on transfer deadline day.
It was claimed that Carlos Soler is now en route to West Ham to undergo his medical ahead of his proposed move to the London Stadium.
Carlos Soler is the type of signing the Hammers really need in order to compete on all fronts this season and beyond.
Whilst Julen Lopetegui is undoubtedly preparing his squad for tomorrow’s clash with Manchester City, Tim Steidten will be out looking for any potential new signings.
Transfer deadline day is finally upon us, and West Ham have one final shot at turning a 9/10 window into the perfect 10.
Lopetegui has worked wonders at the London Stadium this summer, but the West Ham head coach needs to make at least one more top quality signing, if he is to guide us to success on all fronts this season.
The Hammers fans are buzzing with excitement about what the future holds for us, and Lopetegui has insisted that he’s after even more new signings.
However, the Spaniard will have to get rid of some of the fringe players first, before he can even think about making any new signings.
It seems like we’re moving in the right direction on that front, and as a result, Soler could well join us before 11pm tonight.
However, what kind of deal will it be?
Exact purchase option West Ham have in Carlos Soler deal
So, when it emerged around an hour ago that Soler was en route to the London Stadium, it wasn’t made clear what kind of deal it was.
It was only explained that the Spaniard would be joining us on loan.

However, new information has now come to light.
And it really is very good news indeed for the Hammers.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that a deal to bring Soler to the London Stadium will be a loan deal, with an option to sign the 27-year-old permanently next summer for £16.8 million.
If for some reason Soler doesn’t succeed with West Ham, we won’t be obligated to pay to sign him permanently next summer – perfect.
That is brilliant business, and I’m just hoping that this one goes through smoothly before tonight’s 11pm deadline.
West Ham signing Carlos Soler will be pivotal
You will not get a player better suited to exactly what we’re lacking right now than Soler.
It was a painful watch on Wednesday night, especially during the first hour without Without Lucas Paqueta.
It’s a huge concern for me that when the Brazilian doesn’t play, we don’t possess any kind of creativity and guile in the middle of the pitch.
West Ham bringing Carlos Soler to the London Stadium would solve all of that in an instant.
The Spaniard could play alongside Paqueta, or fill in for him when the Brazilian is unavailable for selection.
Steidten getting a loan deal for the PSG star done, with an option to buy him for just £16.8 million is sensationally good business from the German.
Well done Tim.
