Newcastle United are reportedly still trying to sign Harrison Ashby from West Ham United before transfer deadline day.
That’s according to a report from Telegraph journalist Luke Edwards who claim that Ashby is the probably the final transfer that Newcastle will make before the end of the month.

West Ham recently rejected a bid from Newcastle for the brilliant 21-year-old right-back.
Ashby’s current deal at the London Stadium expires in the summer. Losing him on a free transfer then, or for a nominal fee this month, to Newcastle would be a massive blow for the Hammers.

It seems as though the Magpies are determined to get their hands on the Hammers starlet this month.
Telegraph journalist Luke Edwards has claimed that Ashby is Newcastle’s final transfer target before deadline day on Tuesday.
I’m really hoping that West Ham go all out to keep Harrison Ashby at the London Stadium with one more big contract offer.
The Scotland under-21 international has absolutely everything needed to succeed at the very highest level of the game.
The Hammers have lost plenty of exciting young talents in recent years including the likes of Pierre Ekwah, Sonny Perkins and Aji Alese. The 21-year-old right-back would undoubtedly be the biggest loss of them all though.
I believe West Ham should be going all out to keep Ashby at the London Stadium. I have no doubt in my mind that the youngster will go on to become an elite Premier League player.
It may well be impossible to sign Ashby down to a new contract though, with Newcastle trying to get a deal over the line for him before transfer deadline day
