West Ham United have reportedly rejected a January transfer window offer from Newcastle United for Harrison Ashby.
That’s according to a report from The Daily Mail who claim that the Hammers have rebuffed Newcastle in their approach to sign the 21-year-old right-back.

However, the Mail on Sunday (print edition 22nd January, page 109) reckon that Newcastle are now going to go full out to sign the Scotland under-21 international, after being ruled out of the race for Real Valladolid defender Ivan Fresneda.

Ashby is an incredible young talent, and unfortunately for us, he is out of contract at the London Stadium in the summer.
And a move to Newcastle has been touted for Ashby for quite some time now.
It appears as though Toon boss Eddie Howe is determined to get his man…
Newcastle intent on signing West Ham starlet Harrison Ashby
Eddie Howe is apparently focussing all of his attention now on bringing the 21-year-old Hammer to St James’ Park.
Losing the young defender to our Premier League rivals would be a huge blow for West Ham.

I’m really hoping that West Ham go all out to keep Harrison Ashby at the London Stadium with one more big contract offer.
The Scotland under-21 international has absolutely everything needed to succeed at the very highest level of the game.
The Hammers have lost plenty of exciting young talents in recent years including the likes of Sonny Perkins and Aji Alese. The 21-year-old right-back would undoubtedly be the biggest loss of them all though.
If West Ham have to sell Harrison Ashby to Newcastle this month, some serious questions need to be asked.
