West Ham United have reportedly made a loan with an obligation to buy bid for AS Roma attacking midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo.
That’s according to journalist Ciro Venerato who told Tutto Juve that the Hammers have offered to take Zaniolo on loan with an obligation to sign him for €25 million (£22 million) later this year.

That really is peak David Sullivan isn’t it. It’s little wonder why the Italian giants are reluctant to agree to that deal, especially considering our current position in the Premier League.
That hasn’t stopped West Ham making a concrete offer for the Italy international though…
West Ham make Zaniolo bid
The Hammers have made a bid for the versatile AS Roma star according to Ciro Venerato, via Tutto Juve.
Surely we should just increase our offer. The 23-year-old would be a truly stunning addition for West Ham. And if David Moyes really wants Zaniolo, the owners absolutely must go all out to get him.
Zaniolo is a world-class player in the making. Italy boss Roberto Mancini once described the 23-year-old as an ‘extraordinary’ player (Goal). So if there is a genuine chance to sign him, why on earth are we messing about with low-ball offers?

Zaniolo is big and powerful and standing at 6ft 3in tall, he seems to be perfectly built for the Premier League.
The Roma attacker can play in a variety of positions including the number 10 role and on both wings, and he has a proven track record of producing the goods at the very highest level for a sustained period of time.
His exceptional technical ability and physical prowess would provide the Hammers with a really different option inside the final third.
As things stand though, it seems highly unlikely that West Ham will sign Nicolo Zaniolo in the January transfer window, unless we drastically up our offer for him, with Roma thought to be demanding £35 million up front (Tutto Juve).
