A Sun journalist has made a major claim about £30m star Nayef Aguerd as West Ham take action ahead of the transfer window.
The January transfer window is now less than two weeks away and as West Ham fans know by now the club must sell before buying.
Hammers News brought you an exclusive from the top source inside West Ham last week.
It was confirmed that Tim Steidten and David Moyes want to make signings. But players must be offloaded to create space in the squad and meet FFP rules with the Hammers at their wages-to-turnover limit.
West Ham insider Sean Whetstone explained the financial detail behind that Hammers News update.

Sun journalist’s major claim about Aguerd
But now it appears West Ham are putting the wheels in motion ahead of the window opening.
We reported on claims from France last week that old Europa League foes Lyon want to sign Nayef Aguerd from West Ham.
That’s after being given the green light by the DNCG, French football’s financial watchdog, to spend big in January in order to save themselves from relegation to Ligue 2.
Soon-to-be 28-year-old Aguerd has been far too inconsistent during his time at West Ham after costing £30m from Rennes.

Aguerd out, Zagadou in claims reporter
But it’s not often enough for the liking of most West Ham fans who feel he makes far too many mistakes to be a top level Premier League defender.
Now a Sun journalist has made a major claim about Aguerd as West Ham take action.
Alan Nixon, who has close ties to Moyes, claims West Ham are looking to sell Aguerd in January as they plan a move for another Stuttgart defender – Dan-Axel Zagadou.
Nixon claims West Ham have ‘sent their spies’ to monitor Zagadou with Aguerd a potential departure to raise funds in January.

‘Back on’
“West Ham are checking on Stuttgart’s French defender Dan-Axel Zagadou – and could move out Nayef Aguerd,” Nixon claims on his Patreon page.
“Hammers boss David Moyes has spent his spies to look at the 6ft6in centre half in case Aguerd leaves in the window…
“Lyon are keen on a loan to buy deal and that would happen if Moyes found a replacement in time.
“Zagadou was on the West Ham watch list a year ago when he was with Borussia Dortmund and is back on.”
As West Ham fans know, lines of communication are already open between West Ham and Stuttgart.
That’s after the Hammers sent £17m their way for Konstantinos Mavropanos in the summer.
The Hammers are also being heavily linked with their striker Serhou Guirassy, prompting the club’s sporting director to make a big admission.
