West Ham United have been incredibly active in the market on transfer deadline day.
Transfer deadline day has seen us linked with numerous players, whilst much of the deadwood at West Ham has been moved on.
Julen Lopetegui is actually on the verge of overseeing the best transfer window we have ever witnessed at the London Stadium.
However, a few deals still need to happen in order for that to become a reality.
The West Ham manager is clearly still very active in the market on deadline day.
It has been widely reported that the Hammers’ main focus is to shift on some fringe players before the window slams shut.
And regarding that, it seems like West Ham could well have just hit a brick wall…
Steinberg drops concerning West Ham deadline day deal update
It seems like there is a concern that one deal will not go through.
That’s because it has dragged on all day for some reason.

Jacob Steinberg claims that there is now some doubt that Southampton’s loan deal for Maxwel Cornet will go through.
Crystal Palace were trying to sign Maxwel Cornet from West Ham earlier today as well, but now it seems like he could actually stay in East London.
That would be a disaster for us, considering just how bad he has been for us over the past two years.
If the 27-year-old doesn’t leave the London Stadium, it will be a big failure from the club.
West Ham must get rid of Maxwel Cornet
Maxwel Cornet joined West Ham from Burnley for £17.5 million, in the summer of 2022.
The Ivory Coast international earns £64k-a-week at the London Stadium (Salaray Sport), so moving him on this summer will free up some money from the wage-bill.
Since he moved to the London Stadium from Turf Moor two years ago, Cornet has made just 34 appearances for West Ham, and has been given only 946 minutes of action.
He has endured plenty of injury problems, and his career with the Hammers just never got started.
Hopefully a move to Southampton will still go through for the Ivorian.
West Ham getting rid of Maxwel Cornet on deadline day will be crucial.
