We’re hugely excited by this one and David Moyes will be as well.
Cornet will add huge versatility to the West Ham squad. He can play in a variety of positions including wide left, wide right, centre-forward and even left wing-back!

Moyes was clearly keen to add some pace to the team and Cornet will bring exactly that. The 25-year-old has been described as an ‘explosive player’ by ESPN pundit Ale Moreno.
And now it’s official, the Hammers will possess much more of a threat with the Ivorian in the side…
Maxwel Cornet opens up after signing for West Ham
The 25-year-old is now officially a West Ham player. How good does that sound!!
And the Ivory Coast international highlighted how, as quoted via WHUFC.com:
“It’s a new step for me to join this big Club and I’m really happy to be here, to be part of the project for the Club. I’m just excited to start. Everyone knows the level here in the Premier League is very high and I want to play here for that, so I’m really happy to be here for the next stage in my career. It will be amazing to play in front of 62,500 fans at London Stadium. I played here for Burnley last season and I can’t wait to experience it as a West Ham player”
We’re hoping that Cornet will take the Hammers to a whole new level entirely.

The 25-year-old will add some much-needed pace to our front-line and he’ll provide really strong competition for our current attacking players.
£17.5 million for the Ivory Coast international will surely end up looking like a sensational deal for the East London outfit.
And the signing of Maxwel Cornet will be one that all West Ham fans should get behind.
