Dharmesh Sheth has made a truly baffling claim about West Ham United’s plans for centre-back reinforcements in the January transfer window.
Craig Dawson recently left the Hammers to join Wolves, leaving only Kurt Zouma, Angelo Ogbonna, Nayef Aguerd and Thilo Kehrer as options for David Moyes.

Aguerd is an absolute rolls rolls of a decedent, but there is real concern about the other three options at the London Stadium. Ogbonna will be 35 before the end of the season whilst Kehrer has been in absolutely awful form over there past few months.

Surely Moyes will be looking to bring another centre-back to the club then? Surely he will. Apparently not…
Baffling West Ham centre-back transfer claim made
It seems as though the Hammers will not be bolstering their back-line this month.
Well that’s unless Zouma’s injury is worse than first feared, according to Dharmesh Sheth, via Give Me Sport:

“I think West Ham are comfortable just now with the options that they have in central defence. If any of the injuries that they do get within the next few days are worse than first feared, then I think they’ll go into the market, but no plans do, as far as I’m told at the moment.”
I just find that utterly baffling.
Zouma has proven to be incredibly injury prone over the past 18 months, whilst the same can be said of Ogbonna and Aguerd.
Kehrer’s awful form over the past few months is a massive concern as well. We really should be signing a centre-back in my opinion. It seems as though David Moyes doesn’t agree though.
