There is seriously good news for West Ham’s hopes of signing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic but it will mean sacrificing another longstanding target.
Fans following the Hammers rumour mill will be aware of growing claims that West Ham want to sign Serbia star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as a replacement for Declan Rice in the summer transfer window.
That is obviously providing West Ham manage to stay in the Premier League as we gear up for an almighty battle for survival over the last two months of the campaign.
The Sun have previously claimed Lazio’s incredible all-rounder has been earmarked as the man West Ham will spend big to get when Rice inevitably leaves the club in the summer.

In fact a recent report from Calciomercato claimed West Ham have already made an offer via the 28-year-old’s agent – Mateja Kezman.
Another midfielder heavily linked with West Ham since last summer is Napoli star Piotr Zielinski.
The Hammers are said to have made a £35m plus bid for the Polish star last summer and retain an interest in him as Napoli consider selling him in the summer.
Now there is seriously good news for West Ham’s hopes of signing Milinkovic-Savic but it will mean sacrificing another longstanding target.

Because Lazio have now made it clear they are willing to grant Milinkovic-Savic’s wish to leave this summer and have instructed his agent to find a buyer at the £35m mark.
That’s according to a new report from Calciomercato, which also claims the first farewells are already taking place between Lazio and Hammers target Milinkovic-Savic after his eight years in Rome.
it is a bargain due to the player only having a year left on his contract in the summer.
While that is great news for West Ham, it will likely mean sacrificing their hopes of signing Zielinski.
Because Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri – who himself has been linked with the West Ham job – wants the Napoli man as Milinkovic-Savic’s replacement.
