Said Benrahma wants out of West Ham United, on the eve of the January transfer window swinging wide open.

West Ham winger Said Benrahma has been in really poor form this season, and Marseille are one of the clubs being touted with an interest in signing the Algerian in the January transfer window.

Hammers boss David Moyes brought the 28-year-old to the London Stadium from Brentford on a permanent £20 million deal in January 2021 (Telegraph), after the winger had spent the previous three months on loan at the London Stadium.

Benrahma was initially a big hit with West Ham, and was a regular starter under Moyes up until the start of this season.

The 21-capped Algeria international has played 20 games in all competitions so far this term, with just one assist and zero goals to his name. He has played just 542 Premier League minutes (Transfermarkt), and is nothing more than a bit-part player at the London Stadium now.

His time in East London seems to be coming to an end…

Said Benrahma wants out of West Ham

The former Brentford man is keen to leave the London Stadium this winter, according to Football Insider, with teams in France and Saudi Arabia keeping a close eye on his situation.

I feel like the 28-year-old needs to leave the Hammers for the good of his own career, and selling him would be the best solution for us as a club as well.

If Moyes can get any kind of decent fee for him – £20 million is being spoken about in France – then he should sell him in an instant.

Benrahma has been an absolute shadow of his former self for us this season, and seems to have shrunk whenever he has been given a chance to impress.

There is no denying the Algerian’s skill and general ability – when he’s on form he is a very good player indeed.

The 28-year-old just hasn’t demonstrated any kind of consistency over the past four months, and a January exit from West Ham for Said Benrahma now seems to be almost a dead cert as far as I’m concerned.
