Koni De Winter is allegedly a summer transfer window target for West Ham United.

According to a report from Calciomercato, West Ham are ready to make a £13 million bid for Juventus owned defender Koni De Winter ahead of the summer transfer window.

Kurt Zouma looks like an injury waiting to happen every single time he takes to the pitch. Meanwhile, Angelo Ogbonna will be 35 next month whilst Craig Dawson was moved on in the January transfer window.

And it seems as though Moyes has someone in particular on his radar…

Koni De Winter on West Ham radar

The young Belgian is currently spending the season on loan with Empoli from Juventus, and he has seriously impressed.

And Calciomercato reckon that the Hammers could prise him away from the Old Lady before the start of next season.

I think he’d be a fantastic addition for us.

De Winter can play as a centre-back, central midfielder or even a full-back…on both sides!

In 13 Serie A appearances this season, the 20-year-old has averaged 1.1 tackles and 4.1 clearances per game. He’s also won an average of 1.2 aerial duels per match and has recorded a completion rate of 86% from 35.8 passes per game (Who Scored).

The Belgian is a real athlete and standing at 6ft 2in tall, he is an imposing physical specimen. Despite his young age, he seems to have all of the tools needed to succeed in the Premier League.

£13 million for Koni De Winter would represent exceptional value for West Ham in my opinion.

Hopefully we manage to win the race for the talented 20-year-old this summer.
