Powerhouse striker Boulaye Dia very well be West Ham bound as his agent breaks silence.

Boulaye Dia is a transfer target for West Ham this summer according to the likes of Tutto Salernitana.

In fact, Hammers boss David Moyes made a move to bring the 26-year-old hitman to the London Stadium in the January transfer window, but he wasn’t able to facilitate the move in the end.

With Michail Antonio well past his best and Gianluca Scamacca having struggled to settle at the club, the addition of a new striker this summer will undoubtedly be on Moyes’s agenda.

And it seems as though Moyes may well have a chance to bring one of his long time targets to East London…

Boulaye Dia move to West Ham could be on

The 26-year-old’s agent Frederic Guerra spoke about his client’s future, when speaking exclusively to Radio Kiss Kiss in Italy.

And Guerra admitted that there is interest in his client from England:

“I still know nothing about Dia’s future at Salernitana. First of all, the club must gain survival, which hasn’t happened yet. We have to wait and then discuss a transfer and all the rest. (Napoli director Cristiano) Giuntoli is following him. But he has plenty of admirers, also from England and France.”

Now, the striker is currently on loan with Salernitana from Villarreal, and the Italian outfit have an option to buy him for around €12 million (£10 million), according to Tutto Salernitana.

If Salernitana take up that option, they could then sell him on for a profit. It is believed that the Serie A side would demand around £17 million from West Ham for Boualye Dia.

The Senegal international is a big, powerful centre-forward, and he is well-renowned for selflessly running the channels in order to make space for his teammates in the centre.

Dia is very similar to Michail Antonio in the way that he plays, and I wouldn’t be surprised one little bit if he joins West Ham this summer.
