Mohammed Kudus has already responded to claims now circulating about the reason behind his ‘faltering’ West Ham move.
Will we or won’t we – that is the big question when it comes to West Ham meeting Ajax’s asking price for star Mohammed Kudus.
It looks very much to be a case of who blinks first between the Hammers and the Dutch giants between now and the close of the summer transfer window next week.
It was last Friday lunchtime when Hammers News exclusively revealed that West Ham’s move for Kudus was ‘faltering’ according to our most senior source inside the club.
A very senior figure inside West Ham told us the potential deal for Kudus was ‘faltering’ because Ajax refuse to budge on their £46m valuation while the Hammers were refusing to go any higher than £41m.

Mohammed Kudus has already responded to claims now circulating about the reason behind ‘faltering’ West Ham move
On Monday we reported that there was nothing new in Kudus claims being made by reporters over the weekend that the deal could be off and that the situation remained unchanged with West Ham still very much in negotiations.
That has been proven yesterday as reports emerged that West Ham had seen a second offer rejected by Ajax, who continue to play hardball over the 23-year-old Ghana maverick.
Then came claims as to the reason why West Ham’s move for Kudus has been ‘faltering’. And the finger of blame from a host of accounts and sites was pointed firmly at the demands of the player and his agents.
It was claimed Kudus’ agents were making a West Ham move difficult – as they were alleged to have done when Ajax reportedly accepted a bid from Brighton earlier in the window.

Hammers target called “BS” on difficult agent claims
Whether that is true or not only those involved in the deal at the highest level will know.
But Kudus has already responded to claims now circulating about the reason behind his ‘faltering’ West Ham move.
And he used rather industrial language when shutting them down.
As reported by Hammers News last Thursday, an angry Kudus responded to claims that his demands are holding up a West Ham move after Tim Steidten had flown out to Amsterdam for talks.
Kudus labelled the claims “BS” and the post carrying the accusations was promptly deleted.
And yesterday it was reported that – despite claims to the contrary – West Ham had not yet discussed personal terms with Kudus, making the speculation that his demands are holding up a move look even more unlikely.
