A West Ham deal for exciting star Mohammed Kudus is ‘faltering’ as Ajax refuse to budge on their £46m valuation.
Hammers News can exclusively reveal that West Ham’s move for Mohammed Kudus is faltering according to our most senior source inside the club.
We reported earlier on claims that Man City have pulled out of a move for West Ham star Lucas Paqueta and asked what that might mean for the club’s pursuit of Ghana attacking powerhouse Kudus.
It seems West Ham did intend on continuing to pursue that deal with Ajax.
But there has been a worrying update on the move for Kudus from our most senior source inside West Ham, we can exclusively reveal.

Exclusive: West Ham deal for exciting star Mohammed Kudus is ‘faltering’ as Ajax refuse to budge on £46m valuation
Because the West Ham deal for exciting star Kudus is ‘faltering’ as Ajax refuse to budge on their £46m valuation.
Our top source at West Ham says the club’s offer for Kudus stands at £41m. But Ajax are insisting on £46m. West Ham are refusing to go any higher and Ajax any lower, putting a deal in jeopardy.
“Ajax want £46m and we won’t go above £41m,” the senior source told Hammers News on Friday afternoon.
“So a deal is faltering.”
On one hand this is positive news as it confirms West Ham do intend to try and sign Kudus even if Paqueta stays at the club.

Crying shame if deal for brilliant attacker collapses over £5m
But it would be a huge disappointment for supporters should the move for 23-year-old maverick Kudus collapse over just £5m.
Reports have claimed personal terms are already agreed between West Ham and the player.
So the £5m sticking point appears to be the only stumbling block.
Channels of communication remain open between West Ham and Dutch giants Ajax.
Technical director Tim Steidten is said to be in Holland trying to thrash out a deal just one week on from doing the same thing to get Edson Alvarez over the line.
But should the German return to London without an agreement in place, West Ham’s Kudus hopes will undoubtedly be hanging in the balance.
West Ham have set their ceiling on the deal and it remains to be seen who – if anyone – blinks first if Kudus is to sign for the Hammers.
