There’s major relief for West Ham as Man City pull out of the Lucas Paqueta move claims a journalist but what does it mean for Mohammed Kudus?
As West Ham fans are all too aware, Manchester City have been pursuing star man Lucas Paqueta over the last week.
Hammers fans – and even manager David Moyes – were resigned to Paqueta joining the Premier League champions as reports claimed Man City were edging closer to meeting West Ham’s asking price.
With Paqueta looking likely to leave for Man City, West Ham have allegedly launched a host of exciting moves of their own this week.

One of those transfers is for Ajax star Mohammed Kudus, who, it was initially claimed by Fabrizio Romano, could be Paqueta’s replacement should the Brazil international join Manchester City.
But there has been a huge development today if a new claim from reporter Alan Nixon is accurate.
And it’s major relief for West Ham as Man City pull out of the Paqueta move claims journalist but what does it mean for Kudus?
In an exclusive report on his Patreon page, Nixon claims the move is off due for ‘confidential reasons’ which are being kept ‘secret’.

Hammers fans were excited by Kudus move, but what now?
“Top insiders in all parts of the deal reveal that the transfer will not happen in this window because of “confidential” issues,” Nixon states.
“City are now hurriedly looking for alternatives to add flair to their midfield while Hammers have shelved plans to spend cash on a replacement.
“The reasons behind the collapse are cloaked in secrecy but both clubs are now moving on.”
While that is great news for West Ham. It may not be without consequences.
While Paqueta has remained nothing but professional, the Hammers and Moyes could now be left with an unhappy player.
And it remains to be seen what it means for West Ham’s deal with Ajax for Kudus. Because reports since Romano’s initial claims have suggested Kudus would be signed regardless of whether Paqueta was sold.
Never a dull moment at West Ham in this summer transfer window is there…
