Major West Ham boost as rapid striker David Moyes wants to sign in January is exiled from squad

A West Ham United striker target has apparently been completely exiled from his squad ahead of the January transfer window.

David Moyes desperately needs to bring a new striker to West Ham in the January transfer window, and the Scot has been heavily linked with a move to sign numerous forwards already.

The Hammers manager currently has Michail Antonio, Danny Ings and Divin Mubama as his only striker options, although Jarrod Bowen has been used as a centre-forward as well recently.

That said, Ings and Antonio could be sold next month, so the addition of a new striker will definitely be on Moyes’s agenda.

One forward who we’ve been chasing for quite some time now is Paris Saint-Germain ace Hugo Ekitike, and it was recently suggested that we could sign the 21-year-old on loan this winter.

And the door could be well and truly wide open for the Hammers to sign the former Reims hitman this winter…

West Ham handed big January transfer window striker boost

According to a report from ESPN, the Hammers want to sign Ekitike this winter, and he has been completely exiled from the PSG squad.

It is claimed that the rapid young French forward is ‘not part of the PSG squad anymore’, as the race for his signature heats up.

He hasn’t played for the French giants since August 12th of this year, so a move away from the Parc des Princes would definitely be in his best interest.

Described as ‘unbelievable’ by Sky Sports, I think he’d be an absolutely perfect signing for us, despite his apparent attitude problems.

Ekitike possesses absolutely blistering pace, terrific movement and is an extremely good finisher when presented with a goalscoring opportunity. Standing at 6ft 2in tall, he’s pretty strong in the air as well.

He would fit Moyes’s system perfectly with the way in which he runs the channels. The Frenchman would be a major upgrade on Antonio in my opinion.

And if West Ham manage to bring the PSG strike to the London Stadium in the January transfer window, I think we’ll be in a very strong place heading into the second half of the season.
