West Ham United are believed to be eyeing up a January transfer window move to sign a new striker.
David Moyes is desperate to sign a new striker for West Ham in the January transfer window, in spite of telling reporters the complete opposite just a few days ago.
The Hammers boss currently has Michail Antonio, Danny Ings and Divin Mubama at his disposal but interestingly, he isn’t using any of them right now, after stumbling across and incredibly dangerous, fluid and interchangeable front three of Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus.
West Ham have looked so dangerous in recent weeks with the Brazilian, Englishman and Ghanaian leading the line. However, that’s not to say that Moyes doesn’t need to bring a proper centre-forward to the club.
And it seems as though the Scot is eyeing up a move for someone from Ligue 1 to bolster his attacking ranks in January…

West Ham eyeing new striker in January
Hammers boss Moyes is now eyeing a move to sign fleet-footed Nigerian front-man Akor Adams this winter.
That’s according to The Sun who claim that the Hammers could make a January bid for the 23-year-old Montpellier hitman.
He has bagged seven goals in 16 games out in France this season, and has 51 goals and 14 assists to his name in 122 career games – a very decent record indeed (Transfermarkt).
The Nigeria international is absolutely rapid, is strong in the challenge and in the air and worked incredibly hard – basically the ideal upgrade on Michail Antonio.
He is well known for being a tireless worker – someone who doesn’t stop pressing from the front and he keeps the opposing defenders occupied for the entire game.
Standing at 6ft 3in tall, the Montpellier forward is ideally suited to the Premier League, and he’d be yet another string to our bow from corners and free-kicks.
I would love for West Ham to sign a top-class new striker in the January transfer window, and I reckon that Akor Adams would be absolutely perfect for us.
Hopefully Moyes and the owners manage to get this one done – he’d offer us so much variety in attack and would be a major upgrade on Antonio, that’s for sure.
