There has been a major Keane Lewis-Potter West Ham transfer update and it seems like bad news for David Moyes after fresh claims.

West Ham have been heavily linked with a move for Hull’s enigmatic attacker Lewis-Potter in recent months (Hull Daily Mail, The Daily Star).

It is hardly surprising given the success of the last promising attacker West Ham signed from the Tigers – Jarrod Bowen.

West Ham’s interest in Lewis-Potter is very real. So real in fact that Hull’s eccentric owner, Acun Ilicali, recently held an impromptu press conference to address the West Ham transfer rumour over his star player.

And the Tigers’ vice-chairman Tan Kesler admitted it may be difficult to hold on to the England Under 21 star with West Ham one of three Premier League cubs who have already made offers for the exciting talent (Futbol Arena).

Last week 90min claimed West Ham were out in front in the race for Lewis-Potter’s signature amid competition from the likes of Brentford, Southampton and Everton.

Now there has been a major Lewis-Potter West Ham transfer update and it seems like bad news for Moyes after fresh claims.

The Athletic and The Sun are claiming that Brentford have made an official £20m bid for the star.

And worse still for West Ham, the player has let it be known he prefers a move to the Bees – according to Hull Live.

“The Bees are the only Premier League club with a genuine chance of doing a deal with City owner Acun Ilicali at this stage, with West London understood to be the favoured destination for the 21-year-old marksman who is keen to take his chance of playing in the top flight,” Hull Live reports.

The targeting of Lewis-Potter by Moyes has called into question Said Benrahma’s West Ham future.

Reports have circulated that the Algerian could be sold by Moyes.

Hammers News has previously stated the only way a Benrahma sale makes sense is if Lewis-Potter is brought in to replace the Algerian.

So this latest development could see Benrahma remain with West Ham.

The playmaker divides opinion among West Ham fans.

But he registered 11 goals and six assists for the Hammers in the Premier League and Europa League last season – just two less than Lewis-Potter managed while playing in an inferior competition.
