Major confusion over West Ham’s move for Ibrahim Osman has been cleared up by Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.
It wouldn’t be the January transfer window if there wasn’t some confusion and controversy surrounding West Ham’s activity.
At least outside the Hammers bubble.
West Ham are being linked with a host of moves as deadline day looms on the fast-approaching horizon.
With David Moyes distracted by the game against Bournemouth – which has been ridiculously scheduled on deadline day night – technical director Tim Steidten and majority owner David Sullivan will be be taking on even more responsibility.

Confusion over West Ham’s Osman move
West Ham are being linked with moves for the likes of Ibrahim Osman, Jota and a number of other players.
Last week we were exclusively told by the top source inside West Ham that an opening bid to Danish side Nordsjællands for Osman had been knocked back.
Negotiations have continued for the 19-year-old, who has been dropping hints he is keen to join West Ham with his social media activity.
There was disappointment among West Ham fans yesterday when board confidant Sean Whetstone revealed the move for Osman is in doubt.

Hammers hesitant
Whetstone said an advisor to the board had voiced concerns as to whether Osman is up to Premier League standard at the money being asked by Nordsjælland.
The likes of Guardian journalist Jacob Steinberg also then claimed the move was off.
But last night Fabrizio Romano insisted the move is still very much on the cards.
There has been much misunderstanding surrounding the move with claims that the Hammers are reluctant to pay the Danish side’s reported £17-18m asking price because he is out of contract in the summer.

Winger’s contract status clarified
But the major confusion over West Ham’s Osman move has been cleared up by Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth.
The reporter had originally stated that Osman’s deal at Nordsjælland expired in the summer.
But that is NOT actually the case Sheth now says after clarifying the situation.
And he insists a deal is still possible.
“Correction, apparently he’s not in the final 6 months!” Sheth said.
“My bad. Deal not off… but gap remains in valuation.
“Still four days to come to an agreement. West Ham keeping eyes open on alternatives.”
