Tete has been offered to Arsenal, in what is a major blow for West Ham United ahead of the January transfer window.

90min claim that the talented Brazilian winger has been offered to both Arsenal and West Ham this winter.

It is allegedly that Lyon boss Laurent Blanc isn’t a huge fan of Tete, so he could be set to move back to Shakhtar Donetsk.

And from there, he will once again be loaned out, as the ongoing war in Ukraine sadly continues to rumble on.

Hammers boss David Moyes allegedly wants to bring Tete to the London Stadium this winter.

The fact that the silky South American ace has been offered to Arsenal will make Moyes’s task of signing him an extremely difficult one though…

Missing out on Tete to Arsenal would be a massive blow for West Ham. He really is a spectacular player.

The 22-year-old allegedly could be available for just £25 million should either Arsenal or West Ham want to sign him – an absolute bargain.

The 22-year-old has bagged seven goals and eight assists in 24 games for Lyon since joining them in March. He racked up 31 goals and 15 assists in 108 games for Shakhtar (Transfermarkt).

Tete possesses skill and pace in abundance and his playing style is quintessentially Brazilian.

He’s only 22, so is far from the finished article. The South American has so much talent and potential though. He has been described as a ‘stunning player’ by Ligue 1’s official website.

Tete could go on to become one of the elite wingers in world football if he continues to work hard and applies himself correctly both on and off the pitch.

If Tete has indeed been offered to Arsenal though, West Ham will definitely have our work cut out in the race to sign him.

It’s just such a shame that we didn’t make a move to sign the Brazilian sooner, before there was such fierce competition for his signature.
