Liverpool star Roberto Firmino has given West Ham a massive Martin Terrier transfer boost as he refuses to leave the Reds.
West Ham and Liverpool have both been linked with a move for Rennes forward Terrier.
As Hammers fans know only too well, David Moyes has been operating with just one striker in the West Ham squad for the last 18 months.

Despite having signed Gianluca Scamacca for £35m from Sassuolo, Moyes is still in the market for a forward, particularly one who can play the second striker role, like Terrier.
Liverpool hijacked West Ham’s interest to sign both Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz. But Jurgen Klopp also continues to be linked with forwards after allowing Sadio Mane and Divock Origi to leave this summer.
BUT recently claimed West Ham want Terrier, who scored 21 goals in Ligue 1 last season, in addition to Scamacca and must pay £34m.

However, Liverpool’s reported interest (L’Equipe and GFFN) looked ominous for the Hammers, particularly after what happened with Diaz and Nunez.
Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield of late.
Juventus were said to be closing on the Brazilian and Klopp had Terrier lined up as a replacement according to L’Equipe and GFFN.

“Liverpool have also identified Terrier as a potential Roberto Firmino replacement this transfer window while Tottenham were reportedly monitoring the player at the end of last season after the player was pre-selected for June’s France international squad by Didier Deschamps,” L’Equipe and GFFN report.
But now Liverpool star Roberto Firmino has given West Ham a massive Terrier transfer boost as he refuses to leave the Reds.
Speaking after Liverpool’s 3-1 Community Shield win over Man City, Firmino has insisted he wants to ‘stay’ at Anfield after speculation of a move to Juventus. The forward has just one year left on his contract.

When speaking to TNT Sports Brasil – as reported by The Liverpool Echo – after the Reds’ first Community Shield victory since 2006, Firmino said: “I love this team, this city and the fans. I’m here. I want to stay of course.”
That is surely a massive boost for West Ham if Moyes is indeed serious about signing Terrier.
There are already good relations between West Ham and Rennes after the Hammers signed Nayef Aguerd for £30m.

And the Moroccan defender also has a close friendship with Terrier.
There were even hints on social media from Terrier and Aguerd that both could be joining West Ham this summer.
GFFN has previously reported that West Ham’s head of recruitment Rob Newman was seen at Rennes’ Roazhon Park numerous times last season to watch both Aguerd and Terrier.
