West Ham United are apparently likely to miss out on the signing of Keane Lewis-Potter to Brentford this summer.

That’s according to 90 Min journalist Toby Cudworth who claims that Keane Lewis-Potter would prefer to join the Bees rather than the Hammers due to guarantees of more regular first-team action.

David Moyes has long been an admirer of the 21-year-old Hull City attacker and has persistently been linked with a £15 million move to sign him.

The young forward is a really exciting talent, so missing out on his signature to Brentford will undoubtedly be a big blow for West Ham.

Moyes will now have to look elsewhere as he looks to bolster his attacking ranks at the London Stadium before the start of the new 2022/23 season.

The young Hull starlet would have been a fantastic addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium so losing out in the race to sign him will definitely hurt…

Keane Lewis-Potter set for Brentford

The 21-year-old is now close to joining the Bees according to 90 Min journalist Toby Cudworth.

It is claimed that Lewis-Potter was attracted by the prospect fo regular first-team action with Brentford (Toby Cudworth).

The West London outfit may end up having to pay as much as £20 million for 21-year-old (The Telegraph). That’s still great value though, such is his talent potential.

Lewis-Potter operates mostly as a left or right winger but he can also play through the middle as a centre-forward.

He was on fire in League One for Hull in the 2020/21 season, bagging 13 goals and six assists in 43 league games (Transfermarkt).

And the youngster bagged 12 goals and four assists in 46 games last term (Transfermarkt).

Lewis-Potter is a real live-wire, has impressive pace and is a very good finisher. In many ways, he is similar to his old teammate Jarrod Bowen.

Ex-Hull boss Grant McCann recently described the talented 21-year-old as an ‘excellent player’ (Hull’s official website).

The young attacker seems to have all of the tools needed to go on and succeed in the Premier League.

Unfortunately for us though, Brentford have seemingly won the race to sign Keane Lewis-Potter this summer.
