A journalist has delivered a major update on two exciting West Ham transfer moves and a departure in the January transfer window.

It has been a quiet January transfer window for West Ham so far with only Thilo Kehrer and Conor Coventry departing.

West Ham must ship players out to clear space in the squad and on the wage bill for new signings.

The Hammers have been linked with a plethora of targets while the club are also looking to move a number of fringe players on.

David Moyes insisted after the embarrassing FA Cup exit at Bristol City that West Ham are chasing new signings.

Among those being linked with moves to the London Stadium this week include Man City outcast Kalvin Phillips and Leeds United attacker Wilfried Gnonto.

Meanwhile Said Benrahma has been linked with moves to Lyon, Marseille, Brentford, Wolves and Saudi Arabia.

It has been claimed that West Ham are the most likely to sign Phillips from Manchester City.

And reports have also emerged stating Leeds expect to sell Gnonto to the Hammers this month.

Well now there is fresh news on all three players from The Mirror.

Departure also mooted

Writing for the outlet, Ryan Taylor states that a deal for Phillips to join West Ham from Man City could be very much on.

But he claims Gnonto is NOT a target.

“West Ham exploring Kalvin Phillips loan,” Taylor said.

“Sources indicate it could now be straight shootout between West Ham and Newcastle despite interest from Crystal Palace and elsewhere.

“Wilfried Gnonto is not a target for Hammers.

“Marseille still pushing for Said Benrahma.”

Earlier this week Hammers News brought you an exclusive from West Ham as the club’s most senior source lifted the lid on Marseille’s “joke” offer for Benrahma.
