A journalist close to David Moyes has shared the Arsenal stance on doing a deal with West Ham for Eddie Nketiah in January.
The £105m deal which took Declan Rice to Arsenal from West Ham was not the only deal between the two clubs reported on at length in the summer.
When West Ham were looking for a striker they were heavily linked with Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah.
And not for the first time.
There were claims that Arsenal considered using Nketiah as a makeweight in the Rice deal with the Hammers.

And the likes of The Sun even reported that West Ham could sign Gunners striker Nketiah after he became unsettled by the arrival of Kai Havertz.
In the end Nketiah remained at Arsenal, though, where he has once again been a bit-part player this season.
It was recently claimed UEFA FFP rules mean Arsenal must sell before making additions in January and that Mikel Arteta had decided Nketiah can go.
Given David Moyes earlier this month told Les Ferdinand he is looking to sign a forward in the winter window, that caught the attentions of West Ham fans given the longstanding links.
Now a journalist close to Moyes has shared the Arsenal stance on doing a deal with West Ham for Nketiah in January.

Scottish journo Alan Nixon has close ties to Moyes. And he has delivered some bad news to the Hammers boss in an update on his Patreon page.
Because Arteta appears to have performed a U-turn despite ‘growing interest’ from Prem clubs – with West Ham and Moyes long reported to be interested.
“Arsenal won’t sell Eddie Nketiah despite growing interest in the hitman,” Nixon said.
“Nketiah’s game time has been limited which has sparked interest from several Premier League clubs.
“However the Gunners won’t let Nketiah go because of their title chase and European commitments.
“Nketiah is also on a chunky wage and it would need a massive fee and salary offer to shift him.”
‘Chunky wages’ and ‘massive fee’ – four words which make any West Ham move for Nketiah highly unlikely indeed.
