Journalist Dean Jones has claimed that Declan Rice could make a huge U-turn in big news for Arsenal and Manchester City.

According to Dean Jones, West Ham skipper Declan Rice is being chased by Arsenal and Manchester City, and he could be about to perform a complete 180.

Just a few days ago, Arsenal were believed to be in pole position to sign Dec due to his insistence on moving to the Emirates.

However, Manchester City then surged back into contention for the 24-year-old, with Pep Guardiola’s side ready to make a bid.

Most people believe that Declan Rice will be playing his football next season with the Gunners, due to his apparent desire to move to North London.

However, it appears as though there might have been a shift in his mentality…

Declan Rice could make a huge U-turn in big news for Arsenal and Manchester City

Well renowned journalist Dean Jones has had his say on the current situation involving Rice, the Hammers, the Gunners and Man City.

And Jones suggested that should Arsenal have a third bid rejected for the England international, he may well change his mind regarding where he wants to move:

“We know that Declan Rice wants to join Arsenal and is happy to do so. But if this next bid [from Arsenal] is not OK and Man City do make a bid then I absolutely believe that Declan Rice would go and join Man City. That would be quite a scary prospect I think if they were also able to get Declan Rice through, which they didn’t really plan to do too much.”

That would represent quite the turnaround from Rice, who seems to have had his heart set on a move to Arsenal for quite some time now.

Whatever happens with this ongoing transfer saga, it’s clear that Dec wants to leave the London Stadium, and the sooner that happens the better for us in my opinion.

Moyes needs to start building for life after Rice, and he desperately needs funds to do that.

Whether Declan Rice joins Manchester City or Arsenal should be irrelevant to West Ham. It’s clear that he wants out so hopefully one of those two clubs meet the Hammers owners’ demands sooner rather than later.
