West Ham have just made a £20 million bid for Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire.
That’s according to David Ornstein who claims that the £20 million Harry Maguire bid from West Ham has been rejected out of hand by Manchester United.

The East London outfit have been heavily linked with a move to sign the 30-year-old Man United defender over the past month or so, although his mammoth wages are proving to be a stumbling block.

Hammers boss David Moyes definitely needs to bring a top-class central defender to the London Stadium in the summer transfer window.
Maguire would actually be a very good addition for us in my opinion. However, it’s clear to see that a) the West Ham owners aren’t prepared to make a serious offer for him and b) he’s not actually interested in joining us.
Surely it’s time to move on from the England international…
Harry Maguire bid made but West Ham risk offending Manchester United
David Ornstein claims the Hammers have lodged a £20 million bid for the 30-year-old defender.
It is believed that Man United want closer to £35 million for Maguire according to the Independent.
That isn’t actually terrible value. We’d probably get four or five years out him. However, it’s a moot point because he’s clearly not keen to join us.

If David Sullivan really wanted Maguire, he would have probably offered closer to £25-30 million to start off.
This one clearly won’t be happening and that’s actually a shame because I think Harry Maguire would do really well for West Ham.
It’s now time for Moyes to start making concrete moves for some of Tim Steidten’s targets in my opinion.
Jonathan Tah would be absolutely ideal. And the Scot should use the recent Maguire disappointment as motivation to go out and get an even better player for a cheaper fee.
