Newcastle could blow West Ham out the water with summer transfer window Raphinha swoop
The ex-Leeds attacker is on the radar of the Toon.
In fact, Sport are reporting that Newcastle have already ‘verbally communicated’ an offer worth €80 million (£70 million) for Raphinha.
What a signing the Brazilian would be for Newcastle, and at the same time, it will be a harsh reminder for the West Ham fans just what we are competing with.

The gulf in spending power between the two clubs is incredibly vast and the only way we will be able to compete next season and beyond is with superior thinking, more dynamic coaching and an innovative footballing philosophy – much like how Brighton approach things.
The problem with that is that we have David Moyes as our manager, Mark Noble as our Sporting Director and David Sullivan as the majority shareholder.
There are no elite, innovative thinkers in that bunch, as harsh as that might sound.
Newcastle signing Raphinha in the summer transfer window will highlight just how much the landscape in the Premier League has changed over the past year or two. And West Ham need to be on the ball to avoid getting left behind.
