West Ham may well be in prime position to strike and sign a top-class forward in the January transfer window.
David Moyes desperately needs to bring a top-class attacker to West Ham in the January transfer window.
The Hammers have been crying out for someone with real pace and an end product for quite some time now.
Leeds ace Wilfried Gnonto is someone who has been linked with a move to the London Stadium this month, with West Ham thought to be leading the race for his signature.
And according to Italian journalist Matteo Moretto, the Hammers may well now have an even better chance of signing him.
That’s because the 20-year-old is trying to force an Elland Road exit…

West Ham January transfer could be on
Matteo Moretto is claiming that Gnonto is really trying to leave Leeds, with the Hammers in pole position for his signature.
I think that the diminutive Italian could take us to a whole new level as an attacking outfit, what with his pace and direct playing style.
According to the Mirror, Leeds could demand around £30 million for the fleet-footed left winger. That would represent good value for West Ham in my book.
His stats for Leeds aren’t actually very impressive at all, with five goals and five assists to his name in 51 games so far (Transfermarkt).
Don’t let those numbers fool you though – he’s a real talent. He wouldn’t have 13 caps for Italy already if he wasn’t.
Gnonto possesses absolutely blistering pace, something that we’re in desperate need of. The Italian would complete our front-line if deployed out wide on the left, and would allow Paqueta to move back into the middle, just behind the main striker.
If West Ham manage to sign Gnonto from Leeds for around £30 million in the January transfer window, it would be good business from us un my opinion.
