Florian Plettenberg has made a sensational new claim about a third West Ham striker target while Tim Steidten is ‘on site’ in Brazil.
West Ham have quickly switched their full focus to signing a striker before Friday’s deadline after making Mohammed Kudus their fourth capture of the summer transfer window.
West Ham are perennial strugglers when it comes to signing strikers. And that has continued under David Moyes.
The Hammers have been linked with a number of forwards of late, especially since selling their latest striker flop Gianluca Scamacca to Atalanta.
Meanwhile current forwards Danny Ings and Michail Antonio continue to be linked with moves away.

Steidten jets to Brazil on travels for latest West Ham transfer
David Moyes and technical director Tim Steidten are said to be assessing several options and talks have reportedly been held with PSG outcast Hugo Ekitike and Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri.
Over the weekend there were claims from KUMB that Steidten has flown to Brazil to explore a deal for forward Yuri Alberto.
The likes of The Daily Mail have also since claimed Steidten headed to South America to discuss a potential move with Corinthians for one-capped Brazil striker Alberto.
West Ham were linked with a move for Alberto as far back as June last year in a report from UOL.
And journalist Alan Nixon also claimed West Ham will explore a move for Flamengo striker Pedro while Steidten is in Brazil.

Pedro – who is also a very close friend of Lucas Paqueta – is a player who has also been linked with West Ham over the last few months and last summer.
Sky Sports Germany’s top transfer reporter has been keeping a close eye on West Ham’s striker chase.
Not only because of the German link with Steidten but because the Hammers’ Europa League foes Eintracht Frankfurt are interested in their target Ekitike too.
Now Florian Plettenberg has made a sensational new claim about a third West Ham striker target while Steidten is ‘on site’ in Brazil.

Another Brazilian forward on the radar who has been linked with Hammers in the past
According to Plettenberg West Ham are also eyeing top young Brazilian striker Marcos Leonardo while the club’s technical is in Brazil.
The name may sound familiar to West Ham fans who followed the January window as the Hammers were linked with Santos wonderkid Leonardo then.
Plettenberg claims Leonardo, who has been compared to Romario and Sergio Aguero, is still on West Ham’s list.
“West Ham is focused on three strikers from Brazil as Director Tim Steidten is already on site,” Plettenberg says.
“For David Moyes he’s going to find a hard working No. 9 with a top character! #WHUFC Candidates:
“Yuri Alberto (Corinthians), Pedro (Flamengo) and Marcos Leonardo (FC Santos).”
